Ray Hampton was born in Oahu, Hawaii, on October 8, 1964. He and his wife, Julia, have extended their hands to many individuals and families who were destitute of daily needs. As a child and teenager, he was raised in Lynnwood, Washington, where he attended elementary,junior high and high school.


 In July 1991, at the age of twenty-six, he realized he had a passion to help people in a great way, so he went out on the street corner of Colby and Hewitt in Everett, Washington, to start feeding the homeless and hungry. At that very moment, his outreach ministry was started with a folding card table, a ten gallon McDonald’s juice container, ten loaves of bread, and ten packages of bologna. He has been doing community outreach consistently for more than twenty-eight years and currently is an author, Church Growth Consultant ,entrepreneur, television personality, and public figure. He is known throughout the United States for teaching people how to engage be equipped and empowered for evangelism and outreach. He has served as chaplain in a wide range of venues, from the Snohomish County corrections facility to semiprofessional soccer teams, and as a mentor to many National Football League players from the Seattle Seahawks.


 He also believes in higher education, having started out at Washington State University and continued his education at A. L. Hardy Academy of Theology. To his acclaim, he currently holds a master’s degree in marriage and biblical family counseling and two doctoral degrees, one in ministry and the other in theology. He also served as senior pastor for the Seattle International Church for fifteen years. Ray Hampton has inspired thousands of homeless, helpless, and hopeless individuals and families for more than twenty-eight years by giving them, not only a handout, but also a hand up through his many massive outreach giveaways. These include brand-new toys at the annual “Christmas in the City” toy giveaway and to date more than 90,000 toys have been given to children. In addition, 178,000 meals have been prepared to feed the hungry,thousands of items of clothing, shoes, and over 15,000 backpacks filled with school supplies have been distributed. These are just a few of the major outreaches that have had an impact in people’s life.


Ray currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with his wife, Julia whom he married at seventeen years old. They have been married for thirty-seven years and have been blessed with seven children and have provided a home to multiple children as foster parents for over twenty-three years. His calling in life is very simple: find a need and fill it or a hurting heart and heal it. He continues to provides an answers to a problems by serving with his palms down and not his palms up.
